Insung Information (www.insunginfo.co.kr), a u-healthcare solutions provider, is presenting u-healthcare services system during Global Fair and Festival 2009 held in Incheon, beginning from the 7th last month. The company is hosting the “u-Healthcare Experience” booth in Cisco Pavilion, attracting positive responses from visitors.
In the u-Healthcare Experience booth, Insung Information’s HiCare Dr-U MX-554 is presented on a Cisco Telepresence monitor (Cisco TP500). Visitors can personally try the system to take reading of blood pressure, glucose level, ECG, and oxygen saturation, and then continues while the system transmits the data to a faraway physician, who appears on the screen for a remote consultation and prescription.
HiCare Dr-U runs on a large touchscreen and features voice instructions, along with live physician consultations. Simple, intuitive interface is designed for easy use for patients of all ages.
HiCare Dr-U is a mobile health monitoring device that enables patients to take vital readings regardless of time and location, and physicians to remotely monitor patients and provide consultations. The system was introduced to the market early this year.
Readings taken from the system are automatically analyzed and converted to a graph on the screen for the patient to easily check the status. The data is also sent to a healthcare professional, who provides diagnosis, remote consultations and prescriptions.
All data, along with physician’s prescriptions and notes, are kept in a database for future access through web or mobile, enabling customized healthcare management based on accumulated data.
Insung Information plans to focus on promoting u-healthcare solutions in the global market. The company has successfully completed a trial run of HiCare Dr-U in Eastern Europe, and is currently preparing to market the system for commercialized services.
HiCare Dr-U is also expected to receive a CE marking, a European Union’s approval for safety and reliability.
In addition, Insung Information plans to join CHA (Continua Health Alliance), an international organization for standards and technologies of IT-based healthcare services. This will help the company to expand the business in the global market.
